How long does it take to ship my mat?
Your mat is shipped as soon as available. If your mat is in inventory at our factory, your mat ships within 24-48 hours after order receipt. If the mat is not in inventory at the factory, it is made during the next "run" of that type of mat. During normal operations, this means your mat will be produced and shipped within 7 to 10 business days. Best Mats offers over 50 different mats. Each of these mats are offered in 2 to 7 different colors and usually 6 to 8 different standard sizes. This variety is great for our customers, but occassionally leads to out-of-stock items due to the large inventory requirements. When this occurs, the problem is resolved within 7 to 10 business days.

Can I get free shipping?
No. Mats are very heavy products. Shipping is integral to the cost of the mat. Only on specials occassionally offered by Best Mats will you get free shipping.

How do you calculate shipping costs?
Best Mats has a direct link to UPS to calculate actual shipping charges based on your ship-to address. During the checkout process you are first taken to a form for filling in your shipping address. Between the time you press "submit" and the credit card page comes up, a secure link to UPS has been made. UPS takes our factory zip code and your delivery zip code to calculate the zone, and takes the total weight of all products ordered to reach a total shipping price. This takes place in the milliseconds between submission of the shipping information and the display of the credit card payment page. So, your shipping costs are the actual costs calculated by UPS!

Can I have a mat custom sized?
Absolutely! 70% of the mats we sell are available for custom sizing. You know a mat is available for custom sizing by the presence of the "Custom Cuts" icon on the mat page. Here is what it looks like:

Beside the icon you will see an explanation of the available "Custom Cuts" for that mat. Due to the manufacturing process, mats are available in set widths, typically 2 ft, 3 ft, 4 ft and occassionally 6 ft widths. After telling you the available widths, the maximum length cut is stated. So, if a "Custom Cuts" icon is associated with a statement like: "Available in 2 ft, 3 ft and 4 ft widths up to 60 ft in length." It means you can place an order for that mat in either 2 ft, 3 ft, or 4 ft widths in whatever length you need up to 60 ft.
All "Custom Cuts" are only returnable for manufacturing defects and must be ordered over the telephone.
Click on the icon and you will be taken to a form to request a quotation for a particular size and type of mat. Our customer service department will respond to your request within 2 hours usually. We will respond in any manner you wish including email, phone or fax.

When does Best Mats charge my credit card?
Best Mats charges your credit card when your order ships from our factory. When you place an order with Best Mats, we perform what is called an "authorize only" transaction on the credit card you submit. This is for both your protection and ours. The transaction requests the credit card issuer to verify that the name, address, zip code and CVV number matches, and that the available funds will cover the transaction. This protects you from fraudulent activity on your credit card, and verifies that your account is in good standing. When your purchase ships from our factory we then perform a "capture" event in which we actually request the funds from your credit card account.

Can I get a sample of the product?
Absolutely! If you need to see, feel and touch a sample of the mat before you purchase, please contact customer service by email or call at (540) 392-9981 (8-5 eastern). We will be happy to send you a swatch of the mat you are considering.
